Unbound Games

This is a collection of 20 additional games for Esoteric, by Jay Dragon, which is available through Possum Creek Games. I used the format and style of Esoteric in the creation of Unbound Games which can be played separately or combined with Esoteric. 

A note from me, as the Author Collector of these games:

These games are old. They were here before the roads moved in, carving the land, dividing the safe from the wild. They listened before there were songs to listen to and danced with the raindrops as they fell.

If I asked you to play these games with me, in the woods at night, with friends, strangers and lovers, would you join me? Instead of the woodland, if I offered to fill a room with pillows and make hot chocolate for us all, would that change your mind? 

These games were written because I couldn’t stop myself from writing them.

There were places I needed to go, and I took my friends with me because I was too afraid to go there alone. I offer you my hand, in writing and voice. Join me in those places, bring your friends if, like me, you are afraid. And remember, any rule can be broken in the name of safety.

If you have not read, or played Esoteric, you would do well to familiarise yourself with that work. 

If you cannot, or would rather proceed anyway, then do so knowing the following:

• The games contained here are old
• The playing of these games and all that transpires within their rules must remain a secret
• It was not safe for me to collect these games, and it will not be safe for you to read or play them
• Any and all rules should be broken in the name of safety
